About / the dojo
A place to make better podcasts.
Podcast & video editing for people with something to say.
You bring the conversation. We take it further. We cut the dead weight, sharpen the story, make the sound hit, make the video work and turn the best moments into content worth putting in front of people. We think ahead, move fast and see the work through.
Why a dojo?
Be ready when it counts.
Know your craft. Trust your instincts. Make the right move.
That’s how we work. You shouldn’t have to babysit your editor. We think ahead, solve problems before they become problems and keep things moving. When something needs fixing, we fix it. When a decision needs making, we make it.
Good work. No drama. Keep moving.
The sensei
Tim van der Burg
Guppy Dojo is run by Tim van der Burg. He likes to get things right — and he likes to keep things moving. He thinks ahead, catches problems early and speaks up when something doesn’t feel right. Feedback isn’t a problem. Neither is changing course when the work calls for it.
Deadlines matter. Details matter.

Philosophy
Don’t think.
Feel.
The best edits don’t feel edited. The conversation stays natural — just clearer, tighter and easier to follow. We cut the dead weight, keep the personality and let the good stuff breathe.
Because an episode isn’t finished when it sounds good. It’s finished when people keep listening.
The dojo rules
01
Think
ahead.Look beyond the task. Bring ideas, anticipate what the work needs and look for ways to make it better.
02
Keep moving.
Make decisions, keep momentum and respect the deadline.
03
See it through.
Take responsibility from the first cut to the finished episode. Stay with it until the result is right.
The result
Same
conversation.
A stronger
episode.

Cleaner audio.
Tighter edits.
Stronger stories.
More reason to keep listening.
